Art Therapy Program on ICCD at Kanti Children's Hospital
On International Childhood Cancer Day, we organized Art Therapy for children living with cancer at Kanti Children's Hospital.
Art Therapy is the medicine to heal the inner wound. There is evidence to suggest that psychosocial interventions can improve the quality of life for children with cancer and their families, and may also reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, there is limited evidence to suggest that such interventions directly impact survival rate.
The purpose of the art therapy we organized on Childhood Cancer Day was to express the feelings of children living with cancer through the use of colours.
The parents were happy, and they wanted their children to participate in art on a regular basis. It was fun even for the children to play with the colors.
We are grateful to the Kanti Children's Hospital and Dr. Sudhir for coordinating the Art Therapy event.
